Man that was my favorite video game! Not to age myself to much but I remember when the first one came out. I still have it and the second one. I have the 3rd one as well, but I am HOPELESS at it. It's awesome!

I was a nut collecting all the Doom games from the PC to the Playstation version and the N64 version as well. I have the Doom 64 emulator but you need some files from Doom 95 to play it properly. I just love that game, it's the atmospher, the background music, the killing of demonic beings left and right and last but not least, the fear factor...it's why I keep having nightmares. I remember when I was younger, my father banned me from ever playing Doom lol. Still playing them, pops lol.

Me too. Now I just get all the cheat codes and go through and blast everything. It's hilarious. It's also funny to watch my stepsons go through and play it, after they play all the games that are today's technology!!! They think that Doom 1 is hard!!! It cracks me up. Doom 3 certainly is wicked though. I sat there in the dark with my surround sound and it creeped me out! It was funny..

I wont get over Doom really, it inspired me to get all kinds of horror games but it's series is still the best. You know the part in Doom 3 where you go into the bathroom for the first time after you hear the invasion and you look at the mirror and all of a sudden you get a red view of yourself which looks like your face is decaying or something...that got me real good...

OH yeah!!! That one and when you go to hell and you hear the voices whispering Help me at you...yeah, I have surround sound, and I would play it in the dark at night, to hide from my roommate who said I was addicted. (So? I mean really!) Creepy!!!!

I think the most disturbing part of the game was when I was inside this facility and you see bloody footprints appearing on the floor and you follow it and then the screen turns red and you hear babies crying and then a child laughing...THAT will always be burned in my mind...I remember my friend was there watching me play and I was like "Oh man...I need to stop...that just did it..." lol. Addicted? Doom paved the way for FPS games, sure Wolfenstein started the FPS world but DOOM took it from there and beyond. My friend who has conquered almost every game out there will not touch Doom 3 because it's just too much for him...what a sissy...lol.
